Catching up! Broken Lace Concept shoot with makeup artist Tamsen Rae!

4 Apr

Hey again everyone!

Still catching up and cleaning out my files! Again forgive me if I accidentally repeat photos.

So this was a concept collaboration shoot that I did awhile back with the wonderful and talented makeup artist Tamsen Rae! It was a super cold day and we lucked out with an amazing location AND amazing model Daisa Mapiour who was totally a great sport in the cold Saskatchewan winter weather.  Tamsen did amazing things with the makeup for this shoot and it was her makeup concept 100%! We combined it with one of my vintage pieces and decided it looked quite fab with some skinny jeans! So fortunate to work with such beautiful and amazing people, sometimes I can’t believe this is my job and how blessed I am!

Here are some of the shots from that winter shoot 🙂

The first of many in the Dream Slayer concept shoot!

17 Jan

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I know I did!!

The engagement session on Saturday was awesome and I met two amazing people who were a lot of fun to work with! We ended up lucking out and finding some bails of hay to work with and even met a cute little cat who was hanging around! It was a great session and I am looking forward to posting some photos from our session 🙂

That night I took my boys glow bowling and I must say my boys kicked my butt at it!!! haha I had a lot of fun with them, and now honestly I am still a little sore. Someone’s out of shape! Time to put that new years resolution to work and get fit. 🙂

Yesterday was fantastic! I met up with model Ally Voronova who is absolutely stunning and beautiful in every way and of course the lovely and amazingly talented makeup artist Tamsen Rae.  Despite the horrid weather conditions Ally braved it for some outdoor shots but the majority of our session took place in an old Victorian house. It was the perfect location for a perfect shoot. I am so excited to go through all of the photos, I admit I must have maxed out my memory card because I didn’t want to miss a second and snapped away like a crazy person haha. The dress was a vintage piece that I found and I had it taken apart and redesigned it to look completely different. The sewing and alterations were made my mom talented mom Constance Sansoucy and the dress ended up being exactly what I envisioned and more versatile than I imagined!  Thank you everyone for all of your hard work!

Only minutes after getting into the house Ally finds a huge bumble bee and we just had to do some shots with the little guy. This is literally the first frame from the entire shoot!

Keep an eye out later today for more from this exciting shoot!
