Happy Sunday & a few more quick Destination Wedding shots!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!! I put my boys to work and we cleaned out our basement…er my prop-room! It was great to finally get all of my props in order and I found lots of stuff I forgot I even had. What an inspiration to go down there and see all of my project props on display for my visual stimulation

So excited about the summer, I can’t wait to start taking photos like a manic and fulfilling all of my project dreams!

Anyway, I thought I would post a couple more shots from the Destination Wedding I had with David & Iza in Mexico! What a GREAT week I had, and I can’t wait to post more!

Mexican Cemeteries Are Gorgeous!

Don’t ask me why, but I have this weird fascination with Mexican cemeteries… I think they are just breath-taking! This was the cemetery in Playa Del Carmen, and I just found it peaceful, beautiful & unique. I tried to explain to my friend that in our cemeteries here there are no colors, no personal headstones that are hand-crafted colorful little houses and we also don’t have a celebration like they do on November the 2nd. They embrace death as a natural part of life and a beautiful thing..something to celebrate. ♥

Back from Destination Wedding Mexico!

Hi everyone!

I am still pumped with adrenaline from my amazing time in Mayan Riviera, Mexico!  My clients David & Iza Parker had a dream wedding on Grand Sunset Princess Resorts, and we were able to do our photos in multiple locations, including another resort. I have to say my clients went above and beyond what was expected to make my experience in Mexico absolutely spectacular and I will never forget their generosity or friendship.  The highlights of my trip (aside from the wedding) was zip-lining across the jungle, ATV’ing through caves and visiting the ancient Ruins of Mayan and Tulum. Everything was unreal beautiful and the people were so welcoming and friendly.  I met lots of new and exciting friends, and just soaked up every moment of my trip.  I was afraid to close my eyes for a second, that I might miss something. Everything was gorgeous, like a dream come true.  The very favorite part of my trip is one that I will share with you all soon, as I have many stories about my experience in Mexico and I am excited to share them with you!

At the end of it all, I am happy to be back home with my little troop of boys who I missed dearly!

A little maternity session sneak peek!!

Hi Everyone!!

Hope you have all had a most enjoyable week!!! It’s the weekend, and I always feel positive about the weekend

So I wanted to quickly share with you this morning a little maternity sneak peek of a couple I absolutely adore.  We had a great afternoon session and even braved the cold for a few quick shots!  It’s always nice to see a couple so very in love and so very excited about new beginnings. I wish Dustin & Carly all the best and a wonderful healthy baby girl!

The first of many in the Dream Slayer concept shoot!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I know I did!!

The engagement session on Saturday was awesome and I met two amazing people who were a lot of fun to work with! We ended up lucking out and finding some bails of hay to work with and even met a cute little cat who was hanging around! It was a great session and I am looking forward to posting some photos from our session

That night I took my boys glow bowling and I must say my boys kicked my butt at it!!! haha I had a lot of fun with them, and now honestly I am still a little sore. Someone’s out of shape! Time to put that new years resolution to work and get fit.

Yesterday was fantastic! I met up with model Ally Voronova who is absolutely stunning and beautiful in every way and of course the lovely and amazingly talented makeup artist Tamsen Rae.  Despite the horrid weather conditions Ally braved it for some outdoor shots but the majority of our session took place in an old Victorian house. It was the perfect location for a perfect shoot. I am so excited to go through all of the photos, I admit I must have maxed out my memory card because I didn’t want to miss a second and snapped away like a crazy person haha. The dress was a vintage piece that I found and I had it taken apart and redesigned it to look completely different. The sewing and alterations were made my mom talented mom Constance Sansoucy and the dress ended up being exactly what I envisioned and more versatile than I imagined!  Thank you everyone for all of your hard work!

Only minutes after getting into the house Ally finds a huge bumble bee and we just had to do some shots with the little guy. This is literally the first frame from the entire shoot!

On the subject of photographing your friends! Plus steak and egg salad..is that wrong!?

Steak & Egg Salad

I woke up this morning to a winter wonderland and an unfortunate cancellation on one of the concept shoots planned for today. I must admit not a great way to start the day, but I am trying to convince myself these days that everything happens for a reason. I hope I am right!

So a few weeks ago I constructed this salad from strips of filet mignon, boiled eggs, lettuce, tomato, onion, grated feta cheese and lemon rice wine vinegar pepper dressing.  I told my family about it and they all looked at me as if I had escaped a nut house, as if it was the most disgusting thing they had ever heard of!!!! They were wrong, I think it was pretty darned delicious, not to mention super healthy and packed with protein so I stick my tongue out at you family. 

So I had to share this article I came across on photographing your friends! I agree, there’s an advantage to being a photographer and having the ability to photograph your friends but should it be for a next to nothing price or FREE? I started out doing almost all of my friends photos for free, but after awhile I started to realize the value of my work and what it means to my friends.  It gets tiring really fast and creates a feeling of resentment and being used, and that’s not what friendship is all about.  LOVE this article because it rings so true to my experiences with this!

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!

It was a long and busy week of course. This weekend I am looking forward to spending time with my boys, watching movies and being with good friends.  I also am super excited about doing some concept photos with a beautiful model and the lovely & talented Miss Tamsen Rae, a friend and local makeup artist who I adore! I can’t wait to see the final product  and with the help of my mom Constance Sansoucy who is sewing up a dress I created and designed for our model I know the final look will be amazing.

So keep an eye out for the photos from that exciting session as well as some other news & casting calls in the near future!
